BLS Instructor Training Course
Venue: Menara Suezcap 1, KL Gateway (National Heart Assoc. of Malaysia | D-13A-06)
At the end of the programme, the trainee instructor will learn:
- Adult learner education concepts
- How to present BLS didactic materials
- How to demonstrate BLS skills according to American Heart Association guidelines
- How to correct faulty CPR performance
- How to disinfect and maintain CPR manikins; and
- How to fairly and accurately evaluate BLS student performance
PRE-REQUISITE - BLS SKILLS
AS TRAINEE INSTRUCTORS the participants will NOT learn CPR during this Instructor Course. It is expected that they possess excellent BLS skills. As such, participants MUST be proficient in all Adult, Child, Infant 1 & 2 rescuers CPR & Foreign Bodies Airway Obstruction and AED steps and procedures.
*They MUST therefore be thoroughly familiar with the AHA 2020 Guidelines
SUCCESSFUL BLS INSTRUCTOR CONFIRMATION
Upon successful completion of this BLS Instructor Course - written test MCQ main paper and MCQ supplementary paper on AEDs, all trainee instructors will first be awarded a Certificate of Attendance issued by NHAM. To be confirmed as a BLS Instructor, participants MUST conduct at least 2 BLS courses within 120 days from the date of the BLS Instructor course during which their performance will be monitored by our Instructor Trainers. Their performance in these 2 BLS courses will determine their confirmation as a BLS Instructor and thereafter an Instructor Certificate will be duly awarded to you.
Payment accepted via cheque / cash deposit / online transfer, must be made before the specified deadline. Invoice will be provided upon request. PAYMENTS MADE ARE NON-REFUNDABLE.
HOW TO ENROL
Register your interest online and we will email you the enrolment form. Please return with copy of participant's valid BLS certificate (compulsory) to reserve your seat. Do submit your documents as soon as possible to grab your seat. First come first serve basis.
Registration is only confirmed upon receipt of full payment fees (pre-course materials will be sent to participants upon confirmation of payment).
HRDF AND CPD POINTS
The National Heart Association of Malaysia is a HRD Corp registered training provider, MyCoID: PPM0021420091978. This is a HRDF-approved training programme. Medical officers (doctors) are entitled to 16 CPD points for this course (MMA-approved). Nurses are to submit their own application for CPD claims with the Certificate of Attendance, provided through their hospitals in accordance to the CPD guide.
Non-NHAM Member @RM 1,590.00 (inclusive 6% SST), NHAM Member @RM 1,325.00 (inclusive 6% SST).
