SUB-SOCIETY BACKGROUND

The field of cardiovascular imaging has experienced major growth and technology advancement within the last decade. National Heart Association of Malaysia has formed various "sister" societies and this includes Society of Cardiac Imaging Malaysia (SCIM). In order to encourage further development of non invasive imaging modalities in Malaysia, the council proposed to form a Protem Society of Cardiac Imaging Malaysia under the National Heart Association of Malaysia:

Established: 2007

SCIM has its first election of the office bearers in April 2009.
